30 for 30 is not so simple as it seems.
Especially when you have record breaking temps in the middle of November that sends you running for sunscreen and anything with ice in it.
Hey San Francisco - didn't you get the memo?
So, I'm not going to lie. I had to break the 30 for 30. Long sleeves, sweaters, and wool skirts just didn't cut it over the past few days, and instead it felt like the summer we never had.
I'm still going to stick to my shopping ban *ahem*. I am wearing an outfit comprised of pieces from my original 30 today (blue shirtdress, jeans, and tory burch plum revas).
I guess my main question is - for this challenge, what happens when the weather throws a kink your way? Just like if you had planned on skirts and suddenly you were stuck in a snow storm - what would you do?
i knew a change in weather would be coming...there's a saying her in chicago - if you dont like the weather, wait 10 minutes.
ReplyDeleteone minute it'll be snowing, and then the sun will peek out and melt everything. so i tried to keep everything varied! good luck on your shopping ban :)
I totally agree, this mixing thing is not easy when someone like me chooses two pairs of open toed shoes....and then it snows. My toesies are frozen!
ReplyDeleteWearing It On My Sleeves
I picked my 30 not knowing it would get so cold. Portland never gets very cold, but now they are predicting snow! I'm just planning on wearing lots and lots of tights and layers.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your shopping ban.
The Auspicious Life
I'm dying with all my skirts and dresses here in the NW.

Hi, fellow remixer here. Well, I did plan for some cool days, but perhaps didn't include enough jackets. Will you keep trying or are you throwing in the towel?
