A new outfit favorite

While shopping this past weekend at both Target and the J Crew outlet I picked up another gingham shirt and a black pullover sweater. I feel as though I've been waiting all week to wear this outfit and I've decided its a new favorite of mine. The weather is pretty overcast and chilly here today so I'm glad for the layers and extra added bit of warmth as I try not to freeze in my office.



See what I mean about this new favorite outfit thing? Maybe I just need to go back to simple outfits that I feel comfortable and confident in. Such as this one.. that I have to try not to wear every day.

Pullover: J Crew Factory (exact)
Necklace: Forever 21 (exact)
Jeans: Seven for all Mankind
Shoes: Gap

    Very classic and preppy! I am realizing that I am at my most confident in a suit or a dress (with sleeves) if I have to look really professional. On a day to day basis, I feel the most like "me" in a pencil skirt and fun top though.

      Thanks Jeannie! I love pencil skirts too but I get cold sometimes... black tights are always a default for me.

    Oh my goodness ... I wore pretty much the same shirt today! The weather was overcast here too and a gingham button down with a crewneck sweater is my go to outfit for this type of weather. It is polished and put together, yet super comfy. I love your loafers too, very cute!

    Dang! I've been looking for a black crewneck like that but sadly, J. Crew Factory is sold out in my size! I love wearing sweaters over patterned shirts with a fun necklace. It definitely is a go-to outfit for me, too!

    I've had a gingham shirt sitting in my closet unworn for a year. I really need to make an effort to wear it. I love how it looks on you!

    I really like that shirt. I passed up on a similar gingham shirt on J.Crew in November and I regret it like every other week. I'm also looking for a black v-neck sweater! so many things....

      I passed on the j crew version too.. and then a week later i found this one. and it didn't hurt my wallet as badly!
